We are pleased to present our second artist in our new space. Barbara was born in Cadiz, studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville.
Shunyí has exhibited in galleries all over the world, a tireless traveller, she was trapped by the art and traditions of the Orient a long time ago. From her stay in Beijing, Barbara Shunyí brought a suitcase full of experiences and a notebook full of notes. As a result, in 2008 she received the Tertulia Ilustrada de Madrid Plastic Arts Prize for her work inspired by the Orient.
The work of this author situates us in the great artistic approaches that the graphic work provides and that she develops with all the rigor and the enthusiasm that this artistic modality demands. Engraving appears to us in various techniques from the East and the West juxtapose their frontiers in an exercise of wise references. Her works are made in non-toxic contemporary engraving, a technique in which she is an expert and a master.
Nos alegramos de poder presentaros nuestra segunda artista en nuestro nuevo espacio. Bárbara nació en Cádiz, estudió Bellas Artes en la Universidad de Sevilla.
Shunyí ha expuesto en galerías de todo el mundo, viajera incansable, quedó atrapada por el arte y las tradiciones de Oriente hace ya mucho tiempo.
De su estancia en Pekín, Bárbara Shunyí se trajo la maleta llena de experiencias y un cuaderno repleto de apuntes. Fruto de ello, en 2008 recibe el Premio de Artes Plásticas Tertulia Ilustrada de Madrid por su obra inspirada en Oriente.
La obra de esta autora nos sitúa en los grandes planteamientos artísticos que proporciona la obra gráfica y que ella desarrolla con todo el rigor y el entusiasmo que exige esta modalidad artística. El grabado se nos aparece en variadas técnicas desde lo Oriental y lo Occidental yuxtaponen sus fronteras en un ejercicio de sabias referencias. Sus trabajos están realizados en grabado contemporáneo no tóxico, técnica en la que es experta y maestra.

Shunyí hat in Galerien auf der ganzen Welt ausgestellt, eine unermüdliche Reisende, sie war vor langer Zeit von der Kunst und den Traditionen des Orients gefangen. Barbara Shunyí brachte von ihrem Aufenthalt in Peking einen Koffer voller Erfahrungen und ein Notizbuch mit. So erhielt sie 2008 den Tertulia Ilustrada de Madrid Plastic Arts Prize für ihre vom Orient inspirierte Arbeit.
Das Werk dieser Autorin stellt uns in die großen künstlerischen Ansätze, die das grafische Werk bietet und die sie mit all der Strenge und dem Enthusiasmus entwickelt, den diese künstlerische Modalität erfordert. Die Gravur erscheint uns in verschiedenen Techniken aus Ost und West, die ihre Grenzen in einer Übung weiser Referenzen gegenüberstellen. Ihre Arbeiten sind in ungiftigen zeitgenössischen Stichen ausgeführt, einer Technik, in der sie eine Expertin und Meisterin ist.
